As the front line of fashion, where should we start?
After several years of designing and developing, in response to keeping pace with the times, we try to integrate product design with environmental protection.

Eco-friendly and sustainability is a topic that the fashion industry always paying attention to, during fashion week, we may always see brands combine this issue with their designs. But to stay with this intention is not always easy, due to marketing, fast fashion, and cost…etc, brands who could really accomplish eco-friendly are very few.

What's more, according to the report jointly presented by Denmark's "Global Fashion Agenda" organization and Chicago management consulting firm "McKinsey" in 2020, the global fashion industry has generated about 2.1 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions, it’s 4% of the global total. This is equivalent to the combined annual greenhouse gas emissions of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. 70% of these emissions come from production. The remaining 30% is vending and post-consumer activities.

In recent years, due to the epidemic and the counterattack of nature around the world, eco-friendly issues have once again popped out. But with so many keywords "sustainable", "environmental protection", "recycling", "recycling", "decomposition", "carbon compensation", "carbon neutrality", and "zero waste", ... as the front line of fashion, where should we start?

Let’s say, we will start from the beginning.

From Mother earth

The natural fibers that mother earth gives us can be divided into plant fibers and animal fibers. In addition to common cotton and hemp, plant parts also include coconut fiber, banana stem fiber, and corn fiber; animal fibers include animal hair and silk, and spider silk is also one of the natural fibers currently being used. It is said that in order to improve the production of spider silk, scientists have developed a new type of spider goat so that strong spider silk can be used more widely.

From our daily life

Disposable water bottles can be seen everywhere in daily life, after the recycling process, the empty bottles that were originally discarded can be regenerated into clothes for you and me or high-strength sports shoes. This type of material has been widely used, and it is also the most familiar recycled material.

From the beauty of the past

Recycling old clothes is currently the most suitable material for fast fashion but also sustainable use. Second-hand clothes after the recycling and remanufacturing process are carried out in a physical way, avoiding the use of chemicals and reducing damage to the environment. Reduce waste and recycle to be environmentally friendly, and you can continue to wear the latest and most beautiful clothes.
